‘Thank you’ Teign Valley Golf Club!

During 2019 we were proud and delighted to be nominated as the Teign Valley Golf Club charity of the year and members have been holding events in support for our work in Exeter and the local area.

The funding raised will support our mission to raise awareness of dementia and the needs of people living with dementia and their families across Exeter more widely. It will also enable us to develop and deliver future projects – including extending our commitment to increase dementia awareness in schools across Exeter.

Jane Summers, Ladies Captain of 2019 said “we wanted a local charity so we knew where our money was going and how it would be used. The alliance was recommended to us and seemed very appropriate given any one of us could be touched by dementia through our family or friends. This year I organised the printing of a Teign Valley calendar with all proceeds going to EDAA. I hope that it will also act as an advertisement of Teign Valley Golf Club. Our final total raised was an incredible £6,517 including £500 from one of our lady members whose mother died recently”.

What a team they are and we thank them ALL from the bottom of our hearts.
