Green Tree Court names Exeter Dementia Alliance Group of the Year

Lexicon Healthcare’s flagship nursing home, Green Tree Court has named Exeter Dementia Action Alliance (EDAA) as their group of the year.

David Barenskie, Head of Dementia Care at Green Tree Court said, “The Exeter Dementia Action Alliance’s goal of making the city of Exeter dementia friendly is very much in-line with Green Tree Courts’ philosophy of care.

David has been working to deliver its pledge to EDAA by providing Dementia Friends sessions to several students from local schools, universities and colleges in the Exeter area in a bid to help reduce the stigma and misconceptions of dementia.

As part of Dementia Awareness week, friends and families of those living with dementia at Green Tree Court are being offered Dementia Friends Awareness sessions with a view to setting up a regular support group.
